Use case

Give remote support without installing anything

Nothing needs to be installed on the support side: open skyydesk.com and type the customer's ID. No admin rights, browser plug-in, Java or ActiveX are required, so you can connect even from company computers where installing software is not allowed.

How a session starts

  1. The customer opens SkyyDeskThe customer downloads and runs SkyyDesk; on Windows it can run without being installed. An ID and password appear on their screen, and they pass them to you.
  2. You type the ID in your browserGo to skyydesk.com in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, type the ID and press Connect.
  3. The customer accepts and their screen opensThe customer approves the connection. You see their screen and fix the problem yourself with mouse and keyboard, with no need to talk them through it on the phone.

Browser or desktop app?

If you give support now and then, the browser is enough. If you open sessions all day, install SkyyDesk on the support computer too: the desktop app is faster and uses hardware-accelerated video decoding. Both connect with the same ID and password.

On company networks

The connection works behind NAT and firewalls. The devices first try to connect directly; if that fails, the encrypted traffic passes through the relay server. You do not need to change any router or firewall settings.

From inside your own support software

To open sessions from your customer records or support panel, you can embed SkyyDesk in your own page or start it from your desktop software. Details are in the Reseller and integration section.

You do not need an account to try it.
